Week 2- Brazil!

 Hi everyone! I don't really have much to write about this week, but I wanted to let you all know that I made it safely to Brazil! 

I left my house yesterday at 0630 with my parents and Audrey to head to the SLC airport. I had said goodbye to Steven and Adam before leaving the house. I miss them both already!! My mom took the 0820 flight from SLC to Atlanta,Georgia with Audrey while I waited with my dad for my flight. My dad and I were actually able to get seats next to each other on the 0959 flight to Atlanta.

Once my dad and I landed, we met up with my mom and Audrey and got some dinner. I had my last American cheeseburger for the next 1.5 years! Then we all headed together to my next gate. My family waited with me at my gate until my companion arrived. (Most other missionaries were on the 1100 flight to Atlanta). Once my companion arrived, my parents said their goodbyes. I'm so grateful that they were able to fly out to Georgia with me and that I could get those extra few hours with them. I miss them so much!!

After my parents left, I got to know the other Sao Paulo CTM destined missionaries. Our flight ended up being delayed by close to 2.5 hours due to weather and electricity problems, so it was a long night. We landed at like 0730 Brazil time and then had to go through customs. Customs took ages, but then we were free and got picked up by the CTM.

Today for lunch I had plain lettuce, plain white rice and some brown beans. All of which were not great, but the dessert was. Everyone says that dinner is better so ig we'll have to see. Hopefully they've got some salad dressing this time! 

I don't really have much else to say, I haven't really done anything at the CTM besides eat, shower and unpack a tad. But I love you all and I'll have more to talk about next week once I've settled in and learned the routine. I will say, all of the missionaries who've been here for longer than I have seem so much older, even though that's not true. I'm looking forward to not being the newbie.
